Student festival Early Melons

The international festival of student films named Early Melons is in progress in Bratislava in these days. Festival was found by former and present students of Muse Arts University in Bratislava. Their aim is to support Slovak student film creation.

Festival organizators tried to make this year`s festival more interesting. Results of this ambition are Photographic exhibition in space of film club Charlie centre, more exciting program than the last, festival diary and videoart as part of festival competition, too.

„We want to let the public know what is „student film“ because we realized that people have no idea about our creation“, notes Eva Michalkova festival program manager. And she supplies: „Student films have a good quality and they aren`t amateur experiments“.

Today`s program is consists of presentations of Slovak universities. Visitors can see films from many universities:

Academy of Arts in Banska Bystrica, concretely from Faculty of Dramatic Arts;

Technical university in Kosice - Department of Fine Art;

University of st. Cyril and Metod in Trnava - Faculty of Massmedia Communication;

Today´s program will be ended by evening festival party and concerts of the groups Čoko Voko, Noisecut in Subclub. Festival continues till 14th March.
